Within a few years Scottdeveloped, their signature, tapered hollow internal ferrule. In thelate 1970's Scott's pioneering graphite rod, designed specifically forsalmon and steelhead, was introduced. Further, they initiated one ofthe first true quality control rating systems for rod blanks. Theresult was greater consistency in rods throughout the productionprocess.
