Description
Built in San Francisco in 1858, the table was sent unassembled to Angel's Camp, a gold mining town in Northern California, where it remained in storage until 1969 when it was purchased by a pool table restorer. I contacted him at that time for an antique pool table and he explained that he had such an old piece and would I finance the repairs which included a billiard room. The local newspaper did an article which inlcluded a picture of me standing in front of the table. The size is larger than regulation at nine by four feet. The bed is marble instead of slate. Table is in excellent condition, kept from being perfect by so many years in storage. Daniel W.
